Pure comes out today

Racing game of the year comes out today in the form of Pure. It is going to be hot. I swear I need to update this more and more. I'll make a concerted effort to do this every day. I have a lot of hope for this game and I hope that others are picking this up today as well.

Banjo is going to come and he is going to conquer

This is going to be the best looking game when it comes out easily. We just need to know if it plays well. It looks like it does. Rare is in top form again.

PURE!!!! Next-Gen Splashdown

I know people just come across games that they hope and wish are just great. Anyways, Pure is one of these games for me. The game is utterly gorgeous and looks to be a blast. If you have played Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild for the PS2, you should see this as a spiritual successor. At least I do, because the same people are a part of both games. Seriously, this game is hot, check it out!

Microsoft prices two Rare games at $39.99

While it remains to see if this will stick, I have a feeling that it will. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise are both $39.99 at Gamestop. I quickly went and preordered both. Rock Band 2 is also in there for the 360. I have the first one so all I need is the game disc. That is a done deal as well. I hope Microsoft leaves these prices here because Rare is my favorite gaming company and I want their games to sell bucketloads.

Rock Band 2

Today it was announced for the current systems. Time exclusive on the Xbox 360. This is great because I have a ton of DLC from RB1 that will work on RB2 and I have my RB1 on the Xbox 360. Sure, it's a moneyhat, but it is a moneyhat that will benefit me greatly. Awesome stuff right here.

June 27th check-in

Just knocked out some homework. Watched some Wimbledon today. Saw Serena win and Roger win. Going to go play some Top Spin 3 after I play some Trackmania United Forever, which is probably the best racing game I've ever played, sorry Forza 2 and F-Zero GX. Slow time now in gaming since E3 is around the corner. No clue what is going to be there since companies like Activision have backed out for their own stuff. I'm more interested in what Microsoft and Sony has to say anyways. Activision has become this Guitar Hero factory and Rock Band is currently better. NCAA Football should be next for me, I usually take a one star team and build them up. No clue on who that will be this game. Thats it for now, until tomorrow that is.

Top Spin 3, MGS4 and other tidbits

I need to stop being lazy. I got MGS4 beat it, not really satisfied. Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best game in the series by far. It is virtually perfect. Metal Gear Solid 4 is flawed as hell. I got back from Gamestop with Top Spin 3 for the 360 a few hours ago. Yet to put it in, but I'm sure I'll have fun with later. I'm going to make a real effort to update this everyday. I've made it my home page so I'll at least see it every day. I updated my current preorder lists and what is in my collection as well.

Game talk & Sony Gamer day

I've not played GTA4 within the past few days as MLB 08 The Show has stolen my time yet again. The control and camera issues in GTA4 piss me off to no end. The reviewers were either lying and/or got moneyhatted when doing these reviews. The presentation is like that of a Square Enix AAA game, you know its good, but after that, a lot of it breaks down. I love some of the characters though. Brucie is my second favorite new character this generation after Jensen in Lost Odyssey. The story is good in GTA, but I'm not a fan of a lot of the other stuff with it. I have high hopes for Saint's Row 2 now because they got the gameplay right the first time around.

While I have a launch day PS3, I don't have a lot of games for it. Seven as of today. I bought it for exclusives so I was interested in seeing what Sony had to offer. They have some cool stuff lined up, but some of it is delayed. When Resistance 2 was announced for November, it made sense to move Killzone 2 to 2009. There are other games that they haven't spoken on like 8 Days and Heavy Rain. They have a lot to look forward to, but they aren't really talking.

Microsoft has some stuff planned for this month as well. Banjo 3 will be unveiled and that will be the highlight of the month for sure, outside of me losing weight with Wii Fit. It's been a long time for Banjo, he needs to come back with style.

GTA4 and Updated Lists

Like most of the civilized world, I picked this up yesterday. I got the special edition for the Xbox 360. I am such a fan for the stupid stuff that CEs included. I also preordered a new game so my lists have been updated.

Updated Game List

I picked up Persona Fes and Carnival Games todays. I've been infrequent with these due to homework. I need to get back to posting regularly. Lately, I've been playing a lot of Halo 3 and MLB The Show.

Trackmania United Forever

This has come out in the past few days and basically the best racing game in quite some time has gotten better. They have even put out a free version for the cheap people out there. It is truly a game game.

Updated Game Lists

I updated my game lists by adding Mirror's Edge, Tekken 6, Heavy Rain and Tales of Vesperia to it. I removed GRID. I know that I talked about it but when you find out a racing game controls stupid, then all the graphics in the world doesn't mean a damn thing. Sad to see.

Gaming in general

This has been such a dry stretch of games for me. I have 35 games preordered now but I don't get one until Grand Theft Auto 4, which I'll be getting for the Xbox 360. The other big game for this month is Mario Kart for the Wii. I'm not enthused by this game at all. Rubberband AI in racing games suck hard. You shouldn't have to intentionally race in second place until the last corner of the last lap. I am picking up a Dualshock 3 next week. It isn't really so much about the rumble being back, my older Sixaxis controllers have drop out issues due to the early implementations of Bluetooth in the PS3. I have a launch date PS3 60GB, the best version. So, I've gone back to PGR4 and Halo 3, it's been fun times. I'm waiting for Call of Duty 4 to drop those maps on Xbox Live so I can cop them. Add Devil May Cry 4 to that and that pretty much sums up my 360 playing. On the PS3, I'm going between Hot Shots Golf and MLB The Show, mostly the Show. For the Wii, I play Brawl when I get bored.

BANJO!!!!!

It's been a few days since I've last posted. I know, bad behavior since I just started this blog. Anyways, a fond relic of yesteryear in the form of Banjo has been getting teasers thrown into the public forum by Rare. http://stopnswop.com/ is the latest that they have come up with. With Banjo being the first game to use their new Revision 1 engine, I fully expect this to be a showcase game for the Xbox 360.

Battlefield Bad Company beta

So, EA decided to let us get a hold of this around 5 am in the morning Central Time today. This was one of the laggiest things I've ever seen in my life, but from what I've read on various forums, those issues are largely gone. I've always been a Battlefield fan so I want this game to be nice. It is powered by DICE's Frostbite engine. That is an engine built from the ground up for usage on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. It is a nice looking game, but they need to cut down on that frame tearing and put some v-sync on this game.

GRID

I'm super hyped for this game. I'm a big racing fan and I can't wait to see what this game can do. It must be noted that Codemasters are the biggest video doctoring people in the world when it comes to their videos, but Next-Gen is on the record saying it is hot. We shall see in a few months

Introduction

Ahh, I've joined the world of blogdom. Anyways, I'll use this small corner of the interest to vent about my thoughts in music, games, sports and other things that happens to cross my fancy. It will mainly be those three things though.

As far as gaming, I've been going through the motions with my games. Super Smash Brothers Melee hasn't hooked me like I thought it would. I've been playing more of my PS3 with MLB The Show 08 and the newest Hot Shots Golf. I play those single player mostly as I can't really be bothered with PSN online. I'm signed up for the Battlefield Bad Company beta on the 360 that starts on the 25th of March. This makes the third beta I've been signed up to this generation. I've done the Halo 3 beta, Call of Duty 4 beta and now this. I think this is a great trend and some free Q&A for the companies as well. I'll play test dummy for some free hot gaming though.

Since I basically buy every good game under the sun, I'll post about the games that I get. They won't be reviews per se, but I'll just let the stuff on my mind flow from my head to my fingers and you'll read it here. I got all my important stats like gamertags and usernames on this blog so if you want to add me, but all means do so.
